Pressing Pause.
Hey, it’s Jenessa.
I didn’t expect one sentence to change my entire approach to business—but it did.
"If you can't sell locally, you'll never sell online."
Interesting, right?
That one line has been the push I needed.
After over 20 years in fine jewelry and 38 issues of writing The Jewelry Obsessed, I'm pressing pause on the newsletter while I focus on booking out another creative passion of mine.
So I can finally do what I've been working toward all along: working for myself, not for other studios.
Honestly, everything changed when my father was diagnosed with brain cancer.
It completely shifted how I think about spending my time—and what really matters.
Right now, I need to focus all my energy on one goal…
Building a sustainable creative life for me and my family through The Artist Burrow, the interior design and construction studio my husband, David, and I founded together.
(Feel free to check it out here and join the newsletter if you want to follow along. I’m building in public, sharing both the wins and the challenges along the way.)
Being a mom, employee, and entrepreneur means constantly juggling different worlds—it’s not easy.
But let me be clear: I’m not giving up on this newsletter. I just need to focus my energy on one thing at a time.
Once things are rolling, I'll be back—ready to share what I did that worked.
From in-person pitches to real-world partnerships. And I can't wait to bring you more Sunday morning jewelry-making insights.
Until next time, let’s continue creating jewelry people can’t live without!
