DEEP DIVE

This Isn’t the Newsletter I Thought I’d Be Writing…

Easter reminds me that something beautiful can bloom even after the darkest season.

Whether or not you celebrate it religiously, Easter is rooted in the idea of renewal—of light returning after darkness, life after loss, and hope after hardship.

Honestly, this has been one of the hardest years of my life.

2024 was a high point—I'd been working on my mindset (telling my brain to stop being so mean to myself), took up strength training (consistently inconsistent), started this newsletter, and even stepped outside of jewelry to attend a major networking event in Austin, TX to explore something new: interior design.

Then, in the fall, everything changed.

A beloved family member of mine was diagnosed with glioblastoma. Since then, they've undergone two brain surgeries and numerous treatments to slow the tumor's growth.

In the blink of an eye, cancer swept the rug out from under us—and my entire family has been trying to find our footing ever since.

But even now, in the waves of shock and sadness, I savor each moment, still catching glimpses of light—thanks to the people who show up with love and support.

They remind me that hope lives in the care we offer one another. And that connection has the strength to carry us through.

So this Easter, I want to say—if you're also going through a hard time, you're not alone.

If you're starting over, taking the next uncertain step, or simply showing up one day at a time... that's enough.

And if you—or someone you know—is an emerging jewelry designer just starting out, I want to share something hopeful and exciting…

There's a grant opportunity available right now for new jewelry artists, and applications are open until May 1st.

A boost like this can make a big difference when you're trying to find your footing.

Happy Easter! Here's to new beginnings, hope, and making beauty in the face of it all.

With gratitude,
